Wow, they sure know how to party in Buffalo!I didn’t think last year’s Dyngus Day celebration in Buffalo could be topped but this one sure did it! Okay, so the limo bus and the sunny warm weather helped our attitude, but the organizers added additional party venues which helped too. The parade was longer, the turnout bigger and the bands even more entertaining. I can’t stress enough that this is a joyful party for all ages and anything goes. It is just hordes of people proud to be Polish—at least for one day! Check out a few of the pics (and of our side trip to Niagara Falls) HERE. Mark your calendar for next year right now!
Polish Happy Hour Youngstown is heading back downtown April 8th when we are hosted by The Lemon Grove. PHH Chairmen Tom Kusiowski II and his new committee say we will celebrate spring with some cool new Polish music perhaps like this language-learning one. The Zywiec will be flowing and a spring rain inspired cocktail will be at the bar. Maybe this will be your chance to dance off the winter cobwebs and celebrate the impending change in weather. One thing we know for sure is the attendance of Mitch Benia of Kniola Travel to talk about our summer trip to Poland 2010. April 10th is the deadline to sign up for the trip. If you like PHH, you can imagine how fun it is to extend it to all day, over night or for two weeks!

Make plans now to participate in Polish Constitution Weekend in Cleveland on April 30-May 2. Europe's first written constitution was in Poland! It embodied many of the same democratic principals contained in our U.S. constitution. In fact, some of the U.S. Constitution’s language can be traced back to Polish philosophers whose books were on the shelf in Jefferson's library. This common devotion to the cause of liberty and freedom is why Polish Americans celebrate the anniversary of the Polish Constitution of May 3, 1791. Learn more about the important document HERE. For more than a half century the Ohio Division of the Polish American Congress has hosted NE Ohio's Constitution celebrations. This year PolishYoungstown joined the organization and are working with them on their events. We are hosting a Polish Happy Hour on Friday night; looking to sponsor a candidate for the Miss Polonia Pageant on Saturday, and creating a float for Sunday’s Grand Parade! Won’t you join with us in the fun? Check out the schedule and come celebrate the principals of freedom that the Polish Constitution represents to all people!
